Propertyqube Monthly Newsletter – Professional Edition

What’s new on Propertyqube?

Welcome to the new monthly edition of the Propertyqube newsletter, designed specially for industry professionals! We want to make sure you’re up to date with the latest Propertyqube news so you can get as much value out of our site as possible.

We’ll keep you up to date on product refinements, new feature launches, progress of the community and interesting stuff we find on our site, all contributed from thousands of members like you.

We’ve been making great progress in building up our community. January was a record month for us with over 43k uniques and over a quarter of a million page views. This led to more new consumer members, new questions asked and more listings being emailed from our system than any month since we launched in May of last year. We have lots more work to do in building this up to a truly valuable resource for you and we hope you will continue to help us spread the word!

Market snapshots beta launch

We launched a new product called Market Snapshots! We are extremely early in the development of this product but the overall idea is to develop analytics around the Google Base housing ecosystem. Where does your city rank in foreclosures? How does it change over time? You can now use Propertyqube to answer questions like this and many more!

Share Twitter Marketing Strategies – Join the Newest Propertyqube Group

Come join the newest Propertyqube Group – Twitter!

The goal and purpose of this group is to share Twitter marketing strategies, tools & resources available to Realtors. Twitter is so much more than ‘web based chat’ and many people are already using it as a business tool.

The group was created by John Jones and you can check out John’s profile here.

Here’s a flavor of some of the discussion happening already in the group:

Do professionals use Twitter to market their listings?

What are your techniques for growing your Twitter network but keeping the people in it relevant?

What products can you not live without?

In true Techcrunch style (see Arrington post yesterday) , tell us what sites you got the most use out of and most importantly, WHY!?

Here’s my personal list of products I use most regularly:

– Google Reader: I would be lost without it and wasting hours of my life going from site to site in an effort to stay up to date on what’s happening out there. It’s usually the first thing I open and the last thing I close.

– Hulu: I am a pretty frequent user of Hulu. I don’t have a ton of time to watch TV but there are those shows that I love catching up on.

– Blackberry: My Curve is by my side at all times. I feel insecure without it.

– Menupages: Living in NYC and being single, I rarely cook. Menupages.com gets at least three visits from me a week.

– Linkedin: Running a start-up and always looking for ways to seek guidance from experts and meet new people, Linkedin is one of those services that I truly can’t live without.

You can join the discussion here. Would love to hear what everyone thinks!

Happy New Year!!

We want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2009! 2008 has surely been one to remember and the Propertyqube team wants to thank all of you for your continued support. We’ve made some great friendships over the year and we look forward to meeting more of you out there in the real estate and start-up world in the years to come.

2008 was a good year for Propertyqube. We officially launched our product this past June after being in test mode for some months and we had a blast doing it. In only six short months, we’ve been able to grow our site from nothing into a nice little community. We’ve reached about 28k unique visitors a month with over a billion page views since launch! That is no easy task in the amount of time we’ve been live and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.

In 2009, you’ll be hearing from us a lot. We are going to remain relentless in tweaking, refining and getting the word out there about Propertyqube. We have lots of plans and product refinements in the works and we can’t wait to release them to the broader public. We hope you will continue this journey with us!

Scavenger Hunt Winner!

We’ve been going through the huge number of scavenger hunt submissions and after pooling all of those who answered the questions correctly, we picked a winner at random.

Join me in congratulating John McDonald as the winner of our first scavenger hunt!

Thanks to all those who participated in the game. It was a ton of fun going through the submissions and we’ll most likely run another contest of this nature soon.
